About RITRUT

​​

RITRUT was born out of the desire to document our son’s milestones and family history while also preserving historical narratives from our parents and extended family. We wanted to ensure that our son would always have a deep understanding of his roots—how he came to be and the stories that shaped his heritage.

The name RITRUT comes from the Maltese word for “photo.” While the correct spelling in Maltese is Ritratt, it is pronounced “Ritrut,” making it a fitting name for a platform centred around capturing and preserving memories.

Through RITRUT we developed Tethers by RITRUT which aims to create environments where residents feel connected to their families and communities, promoting cognitive engagement and reducing isolation.
